A letter from the founder
On the small, simple change that can make the clothes you already own feel a little more special.
A little thank-you from me, tucked into your order.
Open the wardrobe on a weekday morning and there is usually plenty in there. Jeans you love, a few comfortable tops, shoes that are kind to your feet.
You put something together and it is perfectly fine. But every so often you catch your reflection and feel the outfit is not quite finished. Nothing is wrong with it. It just looks a little familiar.
That feeling is easy to mistake for needing more clothes. I am Olivia, and after twenty years in the boutique, I do not think the answer is always more.
Different details, different collars. Pick the one that feels like you.
Most of us have the foundations right. Good jeans and a soft tee are easy and comfortable, and there is no reason to give them up. What they often lack is a finishing layer with a little character.
That is the idea behind the jackets I have chosen for Daily Aussie. They are not meant to replace your favourites. They are meant to sit on top of them, and I find that far more appealing than starting again. Replacing a wardrobe is expensive and, frankly, tiring.
If you're curious to see the jackets I've chosen, you can have a little look at the collection here.
EXPLORE THE JACKETSPicture blue jeans, a plain tee and your most comfortable shoes. Now add one colourful, decorative jacket over the top.
Nothing else changes, but look at what does. There is colour near your face. There is a pattern or a collar for the eye to settle on. The plain tee becomes a quiet backdrop, and the whole outfit looks planned, as though you meant it.
It takes about ten seconds, and there is nothing to match.
The little details are what you notice up close.
A plain jacket tidies an outfit. These do something more, because the interest is built into the jacket itself.
Across the collection you will find floral and botanical prints, vintage-inspired patterns, soft ruffle trims, distinctive collars and decorative buttons. Some styles have embroidery, and where they do, you can see it in the stitching. The colours run from olive, teal, burgundy and gold to softer creams, and the cuts differ from style to style.
That variety is the point. The jacket supplies the personality, so everything underneath can stay simple.
A jacket is no use if it stays on the hanger. The usual worries are fair ones: sleeves that pinch around the upper arm, tight shoulders, a boxy shape, a scratchy fabric, or a size chart that does not match the garment.
Fit does vary from style to style, so before you order, check the garment measurements, the fabric and the care instructions on the product page. Most styles are sized AU 8 to AU 26. It helps to compare the measurements with a jacket you already wear and like.
If it is not right, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee. I refuse to sell a woman something that asks her to look tired in order to be comfortable.
A little colour, delivered to your door.
The real value of a jacket is how often you reach for it. This is a layer for the days you actually have: morning coffee, lunch with friends, a visit to family, a stroll around the shops, a casual evening out.
Because it goes over what you already wear, it asks very little of your week. Some styles are lighter or shaped differently, so choose the one that suits the places you go most. A jacket you wear every week quickly earns its place.
Some days you might fancy something soft and floral. Other days, a richer colour or a little more detail feels just right.
The collection has room for both. There are gentle florals, vintage-inspired patterns, more understated decorative touches and jackets that are happily expressive. Each gives the same jeans and tee a different feel, so one may suit a quiet coffee and another a lunch with friends.
Scroll through and notice the one you keep going back to. Then notice the second. That is quite normal, and it usually says something about how many different moods we dress for.

Olivia, the woman behind Daily Aussie.
Nobody dresses for an ordinary Tuesday. And most of a life is ordinary Tuesdays. I have thought about that since I opened the boutique, because those are the days we do most of our living.
I started Daily Aussie with one idea: that a woman should not have to choose between comfortable and beautiful. I never accepted that she had to. Pretty things are not only for weddings and birthdays. They are for the morning you meet a friend for coffee.
That is why I love a jacket that asks so little and gives so much back. A few seconds, a little colour, a detail you enjoy, and an ordinary day feels worth dressing for.
Here is what some of the women who have worn them say.
"I put the olive one on over a white tee and jeans and my husband actually noticed. That has not happened on a weekday in a while."
"I would never have picked something this colourful for myself. My daughter chose it. But it goes with everything I own, which I did not expect at all."
"I am usually between sizes and always worry about ordering online. This fits perfectly with room to layer a top underneath on the cooler mornings."
By now you may have a favourite in mind, perhaps two. So this is a good moment to tell you about our anniversary.
These jackets are normally $214.95. This spring marks twenty years since I opened the boutique, and I wanted to say thank you to the women who have supported us along the way. For our 20th Anniversary Spring Sale, every jacket in the collection is $84.95.
If you've found more than one style you love, the anniversary offer gives you an extra saving.
